Overview

The National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Jefferson Health (SKCC) is a nationally recognized center for practice-changing discovery and comprehensive cancer treatment, offering a depth and breadth of experience in all aspects of cancer from the laboratory to the clinic. Our mission is to improve the lives of cancer patients and their families through compassion, innovation, and breakthrough discoveries.

SKCC is a clinical and research enterprise that serves patients across the Delaware Valley through four advanced care hubs located throughout the region that provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary patient-centered care. The main academic advanced care hub, Thomas Jefferson University, is located in Center City Philadelphia and is home to a robust Bone Marrow Transplant Program, first-in-man (phase I) clinical trials, and cell-based therapy trials.

To increase the pace of discovery, SKCC physicians and scientists work together to design research and clinical trials that translate to new strategies for cancer prevention, detection, and treatment that improve health in our community and beyond.
